The Shining Tour, is one of our newest tours. Indoor/Outdoor walking tour through the west side of The Stanley Hotel Campus. This tour is all about when Stephen King Stayed here in 1974 and what inspired him to write his award-winning 1977 novel The Shining! Your guide will discuss the differences between the book, Stanley Kubrick's 1980 movie The Shining, and Stephen King's film adaptation which was released 1997 on ABC and was filmed at the hotel. This tour includes a visit to The Shining Suite, in our beautifully restored 1909 Caretaker's Cottage. On this tour you will get the inside scoop on Colorado's most famous dog, you can snap a photo of the re-created bathroom, and catch a glimpse of one of the Axes from the filming of The Shining. Join us and dive into all the paranormal allure that The Historic Stanley Hotel has to offer!

**May through October – There is a $10 parking fee (8am-9pm) unless staying at the hotel. You will be provided a Stanley Token valued at $5 which may be redeemed at multiple locations on the Stanley Campus.
